XOLOITZCUINTLI
The Xoloitzcuintle (Xolo) pronounced "Show Low" is an ancient Aztec breed that has survived in the wild in Mexico for thousands of years. They are also known as the Mexican Hairless. They come in several solid colors and some even have a full coat of hair. They are a sturdy breed and come in three sizes; toy (10-14 inches at the shoulder), miniature (14-18 inches at the shoulder) and standard (18-24 inches at the shoulder).
This breed is extremely intelligent and needs to be challenged mentally on a daily basis. They are very food motivated so training is quite easy. New tricks help with the mental challenge and can be fun and rewarding for new owners.
