1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV

4Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The Xoloitzcuintle (Xolo) pronounced "Show Low" is an ancient Aztec breed that has survived in the wild in Mexico for thousands of years.  They are also known as the Mexican Hairless.  They come in several solid colors and some even have a full coat of hair.

This is our beautiful boy GCH CH Himnotico Caliente A.K.A.

We purchased him from Criadero Caliente and we couldn't be happier with him!  Kayla has been working with him for the past 18 months and they have become a great team!

She also took an Award of Excellence at Eukanuba in 2012!!

This is our beautiful, red, bred by girl, CH Amayla's Diavushka Kozha!!  Her name means "leather lady" in Russian.  She is a joy to have around because her personality is so vivacious and carefree!  She is just now turning one year old and she finished her championship at 9 months old from the 6-9 month puppy classes!!  She was extremely excited when she finished her title and she is doing her "pointer" impression on the photo podium!!  =oD

Taboo came into our lives in 2011 on a warm Autumn day in Belton, TX at a dog show.  Kayla caught a glimpse of her with her owner,  Erin Birch and was immediately intrigued. Kayla asked if she could pet her dog and asked what she was since we had never seen a Xolo before.  Erin educated us on the breed and Kayla played with her for a little while. She fell totally head over heels in love with her and the rest is as we say... history.

Erin has been a wonderful ambassador for this breed and we are extremely grateful to her for not only sharing her knowledge with us but also her fantastic Xolo, Taboo.  We are forever indebted to her for allowing us to be a part of Taboo's life and show career.

Kayla showed Taboo in a B Match the night we met her and then started working with her as often as possible. Kayla and Taboo quickly bonded but Taboo was having some trouble in the show ring.  Xolo's are an aloof/feral breed so it is not in their nature to stand and allow a judge to put their hands all over them.  Kayla worked very hard with Taboo to get her to stand confidently in the show ring.  It was a labor of love for both of them but they have come a long way.

Kayla has learned so much over this past year and we owe so much to Erin for this wonderful opportunity.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Echo Zinsmeyer with Images By Echo Photography in Bastrop, TX.  She is responsible for taking these amazing shots of Taboo and her owners.  She captured the most amazing moments and gave my daughter a gorgeous collection of photos to share with family and friends. We will definitely be sending folks her way for all their photography needs.  She is extremely talented and really has a gift for bringing out the best expressions possible.
