Sales and Health Contract
**Please Read**
All puppies and adults are as accurately described as possible and are guaranteed to be healthy and "as we have represented" at the time of the sale. All puppies not shown or sold as a breeding prospect are sold with a spay/neuter contract. (See below) Any known faults will be discussed with the buyer before a puppy is purchased. If, for any reason, the owner cannot keep the puppy/dog, the puppy/dog must be returned to Amayla Kennels at the owner's expense. Our puppies/dogs have a lifetime home here at Amayla Kennels. Our puppies are NOT sold for resale
DEPOSITS: A non-refundable deposit of $500 will hold the puppy of your choice until puppy is weaned. Full and final payment is required on puppies that are 8 weeks and older. If final payment has not been made by the time the puppy is 8 weeks old the deposit will be lost. If delivery or other arrangements are not made by 9-10 weeks of age or a puppy/dog is not picked up at its scheduled time to leave, a boarding and maintenance fee of $10.00 per day will be added to the sales price and must be paid before the adult or puppy leaves to its new home. Amayla Kennels does not refund money for purchased puppies that are not picked up or taken by their new owners. Once a puppy or dog is purchased, it is the new owner’s responsibility to pick it up, provide a clean and healthy environment and to give their new pet love and attention. Again, if a puppy/adult IG from Amayla Kennels cannot be cared for in this manor they will always have a home with us and must be returned at the owner's expense. We do not give refunds for buyer's remorse. It is a new owner’s responsibility to make sure they are ready for a new pet and educated in making their decision to welcome a new family member into their home.
When reserving unborn puppies, the same non-refundable deposit will be required. That deposit will be applied toward the purchase of another dog or puppy in the event that the desired puppy is not born, or is not available. The deposit will not be refunded for a puppy due to buyer cancellations.
VACCINATIONS/FEEDING INFORMATION: Puppies and adult dogs will be current on vaccinations unless otherwise discussed. If a rabies vaccination is needed, the cost is $20 and this cost will be the responsibility of the buyer. At the time of placement in its new home the puppy will be weaned from its dam and eating Diamond Naturals small breed or large breed dry puppy formula. All adult dogs are fed Diamond Naturals dry adult or Extreme Athlete formula.
HEALTH GUARANTEE: We do guarantee the health of the puppy for 72 hours after purchase and shipment, and a veterinarian must see the puppy within the 72 hours after shipment. If the puppy dies or becomes sick from an illness within the 72-hour guarantee time, Amayla Kennels will replace the puppy or adult only after an examination made by a second, unassociated veterinarian. All AKC papers must be returned with the puppy or dog. Any claims as a result of this guarantee must be made within the 72-hour time period, accompanied by a veterinary statement. This guarantee does not cover well puppy visits, regular vaccines, de-worming, or any other veterinary care or medication. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the exact same parents as the original puppy. No refund, in part or in full, will be given. All shipping costs to return the puppy to us and to replace the puppy are the responsibility of the buyer.
This guarantee does not cover Coccidia, Giardia and Bordatella (Kennel Cough), which are common in puppies that are shipped. Coccidia and Giardia are single-celled parasitic organisms that are extremely common in natural environments. They are very hard to completely eliminate from any environment and are even more common in areas where a large number of dogs are present including dog parks, dog shows, boarding kennels, etc. We regularly attend dog shows and racing competitions. Therefore, there is always the possibility that we will pick up one of these organisms. Because of this fact, we take proactive measures and treat our puppies for both Coccidia and Giardia before they leave our kennel. We also give an intranasal vaccine to all our puppies for Kennel Cough. Kennel Cough is self-limiting and, like the common cold, must run its course. Full recovery is expected and Kennel Cough, on its own, is not life threatening. There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors, such as but not limited to: allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange, cancer, tumors, growths, scabies, mite related illness, viral infections and other autoimmune disorders which are not covered by this guarantee. All our puppies are current on their vaccinations and worming prior to delivery. A health record is provided on each puppy we place with all information of vaccinations and worming.
Puppies may be severely stressed by the change in their environment. Minor problems such as diarrhea, Coccidiosis, Giardiasis, wormy stool, etc., may occur and must be treated. These conditions are the responsibility of you, the buyer, and if your puppy shows any of these signs we strongly encourage you to have your puppy checked by a veterinarian.
All puppies are guaranteed against any life threatening hereditary or life threatening genetic defects until one year of age. If you sign up for and maintain an auto ship account with NuVet for the first two years of the puppy’s life, the health guarantee will be extended until two years of age. We strongly recommend that you keep your puppy on NuVet Supplements throughout the entire life of your new pet but the Supplements MUST be given at the manufactures recommended dose in order for the health guarantee to be extended. If a puppy/dog develops a life threatening hereditary or life threatening genetic defect and it is documented by a licensed veterinarian and confirmed by one of our veterinarians or veterinarian of our choice, we will replace that puppy/dog with another puppy of equal value. No refunds. The effected puppy/dog must be returned with all AKC registration and documentation at buyer’s expense. We will not supply a replacement puppy in the event of any problem that is not related to a life-threatening congenital defect, nor for a puppy’s illness caused by accident, neglect, or abuse. In the event of the puppy’s death, an official autopsy must be performed to determine the cause of death. Such an autopsy must be performed by an accredited institution set up for such procedures, with all expenses to be paid by the buyer. The autopsy must accompany any request for replacement. This guarantee is void if the buyer fails to maintain recommended vaccinations and/or regular examinations with a licensed veterinarian. Proof of this maintenance must be furnished upon request of the breeder.
Any legal filings by the buyer must be filed in the Stephenville, Erath County, Texas Jurisdiction and the buyer will be responsible for all legal expenses incurred by Amayla Kennels in any case filed by the buyer that is ruled in the favor of Amayla Kennels. This guarantee applies to the original purchaser only and is nontransferable to a second party. By purchasing a puppy from Amayla Kennels in Texas you acknowledge that you understand and agree to all terms and conditions of our guarantees.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: We reserve the right to retain or limit the registry regardless of deposit if we feel the puppy does not meet certain AKC standards. If the puppy is retained or its registration limited for any reason after a deposit is made for a show puppy, you may apply it toward the purchase of another puppy/adult or reserve a puppy from a future litter. In no event will the deposit be returned.
ALL available AKC registration papers and health related information that we have will be passed along to the buyer when the buyer takes possession of the puppy/dog. All FCM papers (if I am supplying a show puppy) will be mailed to the new Xolo owners once they are received from Mexico. This process can take several months.
MICROCHIPPING: Amayla Kennels strongly recommends micro chipping your puppy/dog. If requested by the buyer, Amayla Kennels will provide an AKC ReUnite ISO compliant microchip which includes lifetime registration for $25. This amount is in addition to any shipping charges.
SHIPPING / TRANSPORTATION CHARGES: I no longer ship my puppies through the airlines or any other means of cargo delivery. I do however offer personal delivery through airline travel with the puppy in the airplane cabin with me. All airline/delivery costs are the responsibility of the buyer, along with any costs for special health requirements. Although rarely needed, the cost of a standard Veterinary Certificate of Inspection is $30 (our cost, per animal, not per certificate). Please note - DFW is a round trip drive of 250 miles for us and we include $25.00 in the airline/delivery charges to help cover our mileage. Again, we deliver as a courtesy. Airline approved, soft sided, in-cabin kennels are $40.00 if you wish to keep the kennel that I carry them in.
If you decide to fly in to pick up your puppy, we can supply a soft sided kennel, health certificate and transportation for the puppy to the DFW International Airport or Dallas Love Field for $80.00. This service will most often make it possible for you to fly here and home in one day and save the hotel cost for an overnight stay.

All dogs and puppies are sold requiring spay/neuter contracts unless said dog or puppy is sold as a show prospect. Puppies sold as show/breeding prospects are not guaranteed to attain Championship titles nor produce puppies. Space below must be signed and dated by Amy Wise in order for full registration to be allowed and the puppy/dog to be left intact.
